Abstract: These e-book is meant to be used for undergraduate course and post-graduate course on advanced control systems (linear and non-linear systems) using state-space analysis. It can also be used for practicing engineers because it contains many design procedures. The prerequisite for these e-book are working knowledge of linear algebra, Laplace transform, and an elementary knowledge of di erential equations. Basically, analysis of linear and non-linear is a vast eld. In this book, we are limiting our discussion to the conventional approaches of state-space equations, introduction to basic tools for the analysis of non-linear systems with many numerical examples. This book have not discussed rational fractions and optimization schemes. The aim of this book is to achieve the following objectives:1) To use simple and ef- cient methods to develop the results and design approaches. 2) To enable readers to employ the results to carry out design. 3) To understand the basic tools clearly i.e. phase-plane analysis, describing function, and Lyapunov stability criterion for the non-linear systems. The design procedure can be carried out using any software package that includes singular value decomposition, QR decomposition, and the solution of linear algebraic equations and Lyapunov equation. i
